Hong Kong Criminal Procedure Ordinance (Cap. 221) Section 91(2) states that “if a person who causes any wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making to any person a false report tending to show that an offence has been committed, or to give rise to apprehension for the safety of any person or property, or tending to show that he has information material to any police inquiry shall be guilty of an offence and be liable on conviction to a fine of HK$2,000 and to imprisonment for 6 months”.
In case of any wasteful employment of the police as defined above being corroborated by police investigation, DiDi reserves the right of restricting the offending user from continuing to use his/her account or DiDi's platform, including but not limited to suspending the user from using the services for a period of one to seven days in accordance with the "Software Use and Service Agreement" and "Taxi Information Platform User Agreement".
